Fistula Test

The fistula test is a bedside vestibular method of examination that finds out the existence of an abnormal connection between the middle and inner ear. As described by Lucae in 1881, when applying pressure in the external ear, vertigo and nystagmus are elicited and remain for a period of time. This test is based upon this principal.
