FCPS PART 1 STUDY GUIDELINE

Before proceeding to study guidelines for FCPS Part 1, first you should know what is FCPS? What is purpose of FCPS Part 1? Who conducts FCPS part 1? 

Let's start with the question, what is FCPS meaning? FCPS stands for fellowship of College of Physicians and surgeons.  

What is purpose of FCPS Part 1? Purpose of FCPS part 1 is selection of medical graduates for different medical residencies (specializations) programs. FCPS Part 1 is conducted by CPSP (College of Physicians and Surgeon of Pakistan) thrice a year. medical graduates can appear for this exam after completion of their MBBS or BDS + 1 year House-job. CPSP conducts this exam under its own supervision in its regional centers throughout Pakistan. After Passing FCPS Part 1 examination, candidates are selected against available medical specialties in hospitals which are recognized by CPSP. Currently there 11 CPSP regional centers where FCPS Part 1 exam is conducted and there are two overseas centers. These centers are :

3. Hyderabad
4. Larkana
5. Multan
6. Faisalabad
7. Bahawalpur
8. Islamabad
9. Peshawar
10. Abbotabad
11. Muzaffarabad (Azad Jammu & Kashmir)

Overseas CPSP centers are in:

Riyadh (Saudi Arabia)

Kathmandu (Nepal)
