NUMS ENTRY TEST GUIDE 2020 [SYLLABUS + PAPER PATTERN]


National University of Medical Sciences also known as nums is a prestigious public University of Medical Sciences located in Rawalpindi, Pakistan which was established in 2014 and is under control of Pakistani Army, Medical Corps. It offers MBBS/BDS and other allied health sciences for undergraduate students.

Every year nums conducts entrance test for admissions to mbbs, bds and allied sciences programs which is known as nums mdcat (Previously it was NUST entrance test). NUMS entrance test is conducted in august every year. Registration process for nums starts in start of July. Last year total number of candidates who appeared in nums entrance test was 34687.

Ø  Every year its registration starts in month of July

Ø  Students have to register online through its website

Ø  After online registration, students have to pay registration fee through challan they got from registration.

Ø  After payment of fee, students have to send original challan with required documents to the given address which is mentioned in the form.

Ø  After sending documents with paid challan copy, in week you have to download your roll number slip

    from your account, which you created for online registration (So must remember your account password to get access).

Ø   MDCAT for national university of medical sciences, entrance test is conducted every year in august usually.

Ø  In registration choose your desired city, as nums mdcat is conducted in various cities around the country.

Eligibility Criteria for NUMS MDCAT Registration

Who is eligible for nums 2020 online registration? As per NUMS Entry Test Guideline, here is eligibility criteria for nums 2020 registration.

Ø  70% marks, in HSSC or F.Sc (Pre-medical only) or equivalent examination having minimum twelve years of education (A level etc.)

Ø  All Pakistani Nationals including citizens of Azad Jammu & Kashmir/ Gilgit Baltistan.

Ø  Student waiting for result of part2 of F.Sc can also apply by hope certificate.

 

How to Get Roll No slip of NUMS Entry Test?

After about 1 week of nums online registration, nums issues notification for roll no slips. Students can download or print their roll no slips from their account, which they have already created for online registration of nums mdcat as mentioned above in nums guide 2020. Students must remember their account password in order to save precious time and to avoid from extra fuss.

 

NUMS Paper Pattern:

According to our NUMS entry test guideline, There are 4 subjects which are included in nums mdcat. These are

1.      Biology

2.      Physics

3.      Chemistry

4.      English

There total 180 Mcq’s in nums paper. 70 Mcq’s from biology, 45 Mcq’s from physics and 45 Mcq’s from chemistry. English portion consist of 20 Mcq’s only.

How to prepare for NUMS Entry Test?

NUMS merit criteria for mbbs/bds admissions is

Ø  F.Sc (Pre-medical) HSSC/ Equivalent (50%)

Ø  Entrance Test (50%)
